Much like kitchen cabinets and handrails, I didn't intend to get involved with furniture refinishing- but clients asked, and I responded. In addition to custom pieces, I have also opened a booth at a local antique mall to pedal my wares, which mostly consists of upcycled pieces for children's spaces, which takes me back to the days when I was "just" Mural Mama, working on kids' murals. Several of the pieces below are for sale. See the description to confirm availability.
Originally a plain old cherry colonial style night stand, a lovely blue grey paint, some iron handles, a fun French Victorian-era deco paper, and some easy wood graining on the top completely transformed it!

My talented daughter reinvented this little side table with a variety of colors and stencils.
This gorgeous family heirloom is about 150 years old & in excellent condition, but it doesn't work with the homeowner's decor. It was time for an update that will hopefully keep it in the family for many years to come!
An very interesting reproduction piece. The half barrel section below is actually a slide out drawer. Cool as it is, it, too, needed a recoloring update.
A fascinating veneer tops off that most interesting piece.
As with the secretary to come, this beautiful piece was made over with Onyx water based wood stain by General Finishes.
